Fashion School Postmortem

I graduated from my design school's fashion program in May. It was a whirlwind leading up to graduation and the "dust" has finally settled, leaving me feeling a little less-than-enchanted with my muggle school experience. It's probably my own fault for choosing a really difficult final project. I was afraid to make my fashions directly centered on mutants, but I did some statement pieces about flaunting difference and being visible. Unfortunately, I think I crippled myself by not talking about mutants. So I've been kind of bummed about that ever since.

On a side note, I've taken on additional part-time work now that I don't have crazy amounts of project work to do. Yay for more money! This is my first time working in an office, though, and I could really use some wardrobe tips for office wear that works with wings (Eventually, I'll get back to my sewing machine and make some).

We can probably make something that would be comfortable. Might also want to talk to Warren, he has wings.

Definitely. I made a casual piece for Warren before, but suit jackets are another matter.

And your wings are much more delicate then his feathery ones. I think making one that would protect your wings would be the best.

I agree. Chair backs are very annoying. Working at the boutique, I'm on my feet most of time. And my last semester of school, I had barely any sit-down classroom time.

absolutely. I recommend ties, but you can do zippers or hidden velcro to make panels so the clothes fit around your wings better

Snap tape is my new favorite type of closure! In the end, though, it has to look professional and my personal style is pretty different.

Snap tape is a good one for some things, but maybe not this.
